Duke HC Manny Diaz Secures Massive Contract Extension—But What’s the Surprising Catch?
“Duke and Manny Diaz have agreed to a contract extension through the 2032 season,” reported Fortuna.
Duke Athletic Director Nina King shared a statement regarding the program’s decision to give Diaz a new contract extension, per Fortuna. King claims she and the University are proud to have Diaz serve as the football team’s head coach, and believe he will be successful during his tenure.
“Manny Diaz is exactly the right leader at exactly the right time for Duke University,” said King. “His clear vision for Duke football, deep understanding of our student-athletes, and strong alignment with campus and athletics leadership have positioned us for sustained success in the years ahead.
