Duke HC Manny Diaz Secures Massive Contract Extension—But What’s the Surprising Catch?
Duke took home the ACC crown after defeating the Virginia Cavaliers 27-20 in the ACC Conference Championship. That victory did not clinch a spot in the College Football Playoff, as the Miami Hurricanes were the only team from the conference to participate in the postseason.
However, Manny Diaz did lead Duke to a big 42-39 Sun Bowl win over the Arizona State Sun Devils, ending the 2025-26 campaign on a high note. With Diaz set to be the head coach for the next several years, the program will aim for more success in the coming years.
