Ex-South Carolina QB Stephen Garcia Faces Life-Threatening Battle: A Cancer Diagnosis That Shocks Fans and Raises Urgent Questions
Over his career, Garcia started 34 games and compiled a 20-14 record. He finished with 7,597 passing yards, 47 touchdown passes, 777 rushing yards, and 15 rushing touchdowns. He remains among the best quarterbacks in the Gamecocks history, ranking third in career passing yards and total offense while also ranking highly in completions, touchdown responsibility, and 300-yard passing performances.
Following his playing career, Garcia became a quarterback trainer in the Tampa area and co-hosted the “Tailgate Talks” podcast alongside former teammate Patrick DiMarco.
