Florida’s Bold Defensive Shake-Up: Tramell Jones Set to Start Against Texas as Aaron Philo Faces Uncertain Return
The Florida Gators may have to turn to Tramell Jones at quarterback vs. Texas on Saturday with Aaron Philo dealing with an injury.
The Florida Gators are set to take on the No. 7 Texas Longhorns in Week 7 as the program aims to get back in the win column after losing two straight. However, the offense may have to play without quarterback Aaron Philo, as he’s dealing with a shoulder injury sustained in the 38-19 Week 6 loss to the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Reports indicate that backup Tramell Jones is likely to get the start on Saturday, according to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports. Philo has been limited in practice throughout the week, as Jones is preparing to potentially get his first career start.
