Florida’s Bold Defensive Shake-Up: Tramell Jones Set to Start Against Texas as Aaron Philo Faces Uncertain Return
“It’s currently trending toward Florida starting Tramell Jones at quarterback tomorrow against No. 7 Texas, sources tell CBS Sports,” Zenitz reported. “Starter Aaron Philo has been limited this week due to an injury and has been classified as a game-time decision. Would be the first career start for Jones, a Class of 2025 four-star recruit.”
Jones is a sophomore quarterback who joined Florida as a true freshman last season. He’s appeared in seven total games in his career, with five of those appearances coming this season. The Jacksonville native has totaled 443 passing yards, four touchdowns, and two interceptions while completing 68.8% of his pass attempts.
