HBCU Coach Breaks Silence: Unexpected Backing of Controversial Trump Executive Order Sparks Debate
An HBCU football coach has shown support for an aspect of Donald Trump’s “Saving College Sports” executive order. In April, Trump signed an executive order said to address the transfer portal and NIL in college athletics. The NCAA has recently been working with Congress to pass the SCORE Act, which aims to prevent athletes from gaining employment status and remove restrictions on Name, Image, and Likeness compensation, allowing schools to set rules and regulations regarding NIL.
