HBCU Coach Breaks Silence: Unexpected Backing of Controversial Trump Executive Order Sparks Debate
Florida A&M head basketball coach Charlie Ward was a part of President Donald Trump’s White House roundtable on college sports in early March. In an interview on Fox & Friends, he expressed concerns about revenue sharing and suggested implementing a salary cap.
“The rev share part is up to the school, but now the schools have collectives. Those collectives are supporting the school by adding money on top of what’s already shared, and that’s where you see the bigger numbers and top players getting certain amounts.”
