Michigan Stadium’s 2026 Overhaul: What Fans Won’t Expect to See on Game Day
Michigan Stadium opened in 1927 and has historically had very little commercial branding. Before this change, advertising was largely limited to Gatorade logos on sideline equipment, an Allstate emblem on the nets behind the goal posts and a Michigan Medicine logo on the blue injury tent. The Allstate nets were introduced before the 2025 season, with the company donating $1,500 for every Michigan extra point and $500 for every field goal to the athletic scholarship fund.
Under the new program, sponsorship opportunities can include field and stadium branding, scoreboard features, end-zone placements, digital activations and other in-game promotions. Michigan is also considering jersey patches, although that option remains under exploration. All advertisements will use maize, blue or white to maintain a consistent visual presentation.
