Missouri Star Ahmad Hardy Faces Shocking Setback: Will He Miss Entire 2026 Season?
Before transferring to Missouri, Hardy played at Louisiana-Monroe and led the Sun Belt with 1,351 rushing yards. He transferred to Missouri after the 2024 campaign and emerged as a major contributor during his first season with the Tigers.
Missouri’s opening schedule makes Hardy’s absence particularly relevant. The Tigers begin against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Sept. 3, travel to Kansas on Sept. 11 and host Troy on Sept. 19. Their first SEC matchup is scheduled for Sept. 26 at Mississippi State. Based on the reported mid-September target, Hardy appears likely to miss at least the first two games and could potentially return around the time of the Troy matchup.
