Leonard Moore’s latest injury update suggests the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will be without its star cornerback for at least one week.
The No. 3 Notre Dame Fighting Irish earned a 37-26 Week 5 win over the North Carolina Tar Heels in a surprisingly close contest. However, late in the matchup, Leonard Moore suffered an apparent upper-body injury and has been under evaluation ever since. On Sunday, head coach Marcus Freeman shared a tidbit of information on the situation.
Although Freeman didn’t have an official update on the junior cornerback, it sounds like Moore might be a long shot to play in the Week 6 matchup against the Stanford Cardinal, according to Pete Sampson of The Athletic. While the injury is currently undisclosed, it appears Moore will need some time to recover.
