Paul Finebaum Drops Bombshell: Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby’s Gambling Scandal May Unveil Darker Secrets
“This could be of epidemic proportions, and an epidemic scandal,” Finebaum continued. “Here’s the most interesting part: the NCAA has been asking for this. About a year ago, the NCAA agreed on legislation that allowed college athletes to bet on professional sports.”
The NCAA was pressured to recind the policy and did, which opened the door for this situation. Finebaum believes this will be the first of many cases to come out.
For now, Sorsby is away from the program, and Texas Tech will need to prepare to move on without him. Texas Tech opens the season September 5 against Abilene Christian.
