Jay Paterno Reveals Shocking Insights on Drew Allar and Penn State’s NFL Draft Future
Jay Paterno Q&A

Joshua Valdez: To start, what stands out to you the most about [quarterback] Drew Allar as a former quarterbacks coach?
Jay Paterno: Well, everybody likes the size and the arm strength, because it’s there. I think those things are both real assets for him. I think the last year before he got hurt, he had lost weight or looked like he had lost weight. He got a little faster, was more willing to run and pick up first downs with his legs, which was a change. So those things are positive. And I think that’s going to be what he’ll lean on…Someone’s gonna draft him with the idea that they’re gonna build him over the next year, two or three, before he really becomes the guy. So I think that’s probably in his future, and probably best for him.
