Jay Paterno Reveals Shocking Insights on Drew Allar and Penn State’s NFL Draft Future
Jay Paterno: Well, he’s very versatile. I think part of the reason [his draft grade] is probably knocked down a little bit is that it’s a pretty deep draft for guys that are pass-rushing. Everybody’s looking for pass-rush guys; those are priorities. So I think whoever gets him is gonna get a guy that plays a while. One of the things that really stood out for me, when you look at him, is the last seven weeks of the season, after James Franklin got fired, he seemed to pick up his game. He played at a different level for six weeks, not that he was bad [before], but to a different level. And he played in the bowl game [Pinstripe Bowl], ’cause he wanted to play with his teammates.
